Parise AND Suter to Minnesota

Boy did the Wild come out as winners on our nations independence day. Both Zach Parise and Ryan Suter will be coming to an underrated and potentially dangerous Minnesota Wild team that was leading the Western Conference before imploding in the second half of last season. If they stay healthy, there is no doubt the Wild can contend and make a deep run.

NHL Free Agency Predictions

Zach Parise- His qualities as a leader and a goal scorer make him probably the biggest name out there on the market this year, even a little more than Ryan Suter. I could see Parise going to a number of teams but ultimately, I think the temptation of playing alongside Sidney Crosby and Evengi Malkin would make him a Penguin.
Prediction: Pittsburgh Penguins

Ryan Suter- With the retirement of Niklas Lidstrom, the Red Wings should make a strong move after Suter, particularly if they miss out on Parise.
Prediction: Detroit Red Wings

Alexander Semin- Again, if the Red Wings don't get Parise, they should make a strong move after Semin as well given their amount of money to spend.
Prediction: Detroit Red Wings

Jaromir Jagr- Jagr was tremendous with Philadelphia last year and given how important he was to the Flyers, I think they will do enough to re-sign him.
Prediction: Philadelphia Flyers

Olli Jokinen- Jokinen is very underrated and will be pursued by a few teams. Ultimately, I think the Florida Panthers will be the ones to sign him because of their need for a second center.
Prediction: Florida Panthers

Shane Doan- I would find it unlikely if Doan went anywhere else.
Prediction: Phoenix Coyotes

P.A. Parenteau- I really think Parenteau could go to a number of teams, but I'm going to say he re-signs with the Islanders.
Prediction: New York Islanders
